Environmental & Sustainability Policy

1 · Purpose

Nxt7a exists to help protect and restore the living world. This policy commits us to operating in a way that is consistent with that mission – minimising our own environmental footprint and maximising the positive impact of our work.

2 · Scope

Applies to all of Nxt7a's operations, the conduct of our people, and the environmental performance we expect of our suppliers and partners.

3 · Policy Statements

Mission-aligned operations. Our work makes biodiversity measurable, transparent and investable so that nature, communities and enterprise thrive together. We hold our own operations to the standard we ask of others.

Minimise footprint. As a primarily digital, remote business, our largest direct footprint is cloud compute and travel. We:

• favour efficient cloud usage and providers with strong sustainability commitments;
• prefer remote collaboration over travel, and offset or minimise necessary travel;
• reduce waste and avoid unnecessary procurement.

Maximise handprint. We prioritise work, partnerships and clients that advance biodiversity protection, restoration and equitable outcomes for First Nations peoples and local communities – the core of our purpose.

Accurate environmental claims. We do not overstate environmental benefits, ours or our clients'. Claims derived from the platform are accurate, evidence-based and verifiable (linked to the AI and model governance policies). We avoid greenwashing.

Continuous improvement. We set and review sustainability objectives appropriate to our size, and improve over time. As we grow, we will formalise measurement of our operational impact.

Supplier expectations. Environmental responsibility is part of how we choose and work with suppliers (see the Supplier Code of Conduct).

Alignment. Our commitments support the UN Sustainable Development Goals we have adopted (11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17) and our ESG framework.

4 · Roles & Responsibilities

• CEO owns sustainability commitments and accuracy of environmental positioning.
• All personnel consider environmental impact in decisions and avoid overstated claims.
• Procurement owners apply environmental criteria to supplier choices.

5 · Compliance, Monitoring & Breach

Progress against objectives is reviewed periodically. Misleading environmental claims are a serious matter given our mission and are addressed under the Code of Conduct.
